CT00-083 In the Matter of the Complaint filed by John and Brenda Forman, Pierre, South Dakota, against U S WEST Communications, Inc. and McLeodUSA Telecommunications Services, Inc. Regarding the Failure to Provide Telephone Service.

The complainants requested that phone line and service be moved to a new location on May 12, 2000. On this date, the complainants were informed by U S WEST that "no lines were available" at the new site and the project was in HELD order status. The complainants report they have not received any information on when the lines will be installed and service will be operational. The complainants request that U S WEST provide and follow a completion deadline date for the "facilities hold"; and McLeodUSA assist with the costs of the cellular phone bill.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

TC00-110 In the Matter of the Filing for Approval of a Second Amendment to an Interconnection Agreement between U S WEST Communications, Inc. and Dakota Telecom, Inc.

A second amendment to an interconnection agreement between Dakota Telecom, Inc. and U S WEST Communications, Inc. was filed with the Commission. The Commission approved the original interconnection agreement effective August 28, 1998. A first amendment was filed with the Commission on June 1, 2000, and is pending Commission action. The Second Amendment will add reciprocal compensation language to the original agreement.

Any party wishing to comment on the amendment may do so by filing written comments with the Commission and the parties to the amendment no later than July 31, 2000. Parties to the amendment may file written responses to the comments no later than twenty days after the service of the original comments.
