AGENDA OF THE AD HOC COMMISSION MEETING
Telecommunications
1. TC96-179 IN THE MATTER OF THE FILING BY U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. FOR APPROVAL OF ITS STATEMENT OF GENERALLY AVAILABLE TERMS. (Staff Analyst: Harlan Best. Staff Attorneys: Camron Hoseck and Karen Cremer.)
On October 30, 1996, the Public Utilities Commission (Commission) received a filing from U S WEST Communications, Inc. (U S WEST) for approval of its Statement of Generally Available Terms. On October 31, 1996, the Commission electronically transmitted notice of the filing and the intervention deadline of November 8, 1996, to interested individuals and entities. At a duly noticed ad hoc meeting of November 8, 1996, the Commission granted intervention in this matter to Dakota Cooperative Telecommunications, Inc. (DCT), MCI Telecommunications Corporation (MCI), AT&T Communications of the Midwest, Inc. (AT&T), Midco Communications (Midco), Telecommunications Action Group (TAG), Sprint Communications, L.P. (Sprint), and South Dakota Independent Telephone Coalition, Inc. (SDITC).
On November 12, 1996, AT&T filed a Motion for Summary Disapproval of U S WEST's Statement of Generally Available Terms. On November 14, 1996, MCI filed its Joinder in AT&T's Motion for Summary Disapproval and Disposition. On November 15, 1996, Sprint filed its Memorandum in Support of AT&T's Motion for Summary Disposition and Disapproval. A regularly scheduled meeting of November 25, 1996, the Commission granted McLeod Telemanagement, Inc. (McLeod) intervention status. A hearing was held on the motions of AT&T, MCI, and Sprint at 1:30 p.m. on November 25, 1996, in Room 412 of the State Capitol Building, 500 East Capitol, Pierre, SD.
TODAY, shall the Commission grant AT&T's, MCI's and Sprint's Motion for Summary Disapproval of U S WEST's Statement of Generally Available Terms?
