Landowners encouraged to learn about wind energy

Landowners and rural electric cooperative members are being encouraged to learn more about wind energy at the Regional Wind Conference, September 11-13 in Brookings, S.D.

hosted by the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission and the United States Department of Energy.

The conference hosts have devised ways for those unable to devote much time to the event to still participate and learn from the conference's wind experts.

Wind Sessions' Recap: An evening session will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on September 12 at the Swiftel Center, recapping the presentations given throughout the day. This recap session is offered at no cost and attendees may register at the door.

Conference Web Cast: Another way to learn from this event without actually attending in person is by listening either live or following the event via a Web cast at puc.sd.gov. All sessions presented at the conference will be available via the Web. PowerPoint presentations delivered during the event will also be available online at http://puc.sd.gov following the event.

Those interested in attending the entire event or one day of the conference can register online before September 9 at http://puc.sd.gov.
